New To Your Wardrobe: The U-Neck T-Shirt

'Those who do not learn history are doomed to repeat it. '

- George Santayana

History has a strange way of repeating itself.

In football for example, how many times will we see Jose Mourinho ascend to a new role looking fresh faced and revitalised, only to witness his inevitable demise, triggering a sour downfall in mood, club performances and his relationship with fans.

We also regularly witness it in fashion. Garments our parents, or even grandparents wore, which then fell out of vogue, come ‘back in’ over time…an example being the Cuban collar shirt.

Because effectively, trends are often someone identifying something that was formerly cool and deciding history should repeat itself. With others endorsing their hypothesis.

Catch my drift?

If you were ever the man who purchased a scoop-neck t-shirt (BTW this was never a trend) let’s make a covenant now that you will never allow history to repeat itself. It’s for your own good.

Not in any way to be confused with the scoop neck tee, The U-Neck is a great summer option, offering the perfect middle ground between the crew neck and scoop.

A contemporary take on a wardrobe essential, the U-neck T-shirt is perfect for warm weather dressing. But I’d be very specific where I go for one. For me, it’s Always got to be Frescobal Carioca.

Their t-shirts are cut from lightweight linen and cotton-blend, keeping you cool in balmy climates.

How to wear?

These are a great accompaniment with linen shorts/trousers or chinos for social occasions, but they also pair well with swim shorts.

The quality of these t-shirts is unparalleled, so although quite pricey, they’re truly an investment.

Wearing these t-shirts is the kind of thing you want to make a habit of; history to be repeated.
